When procuring thousands of metric tonnes of fuel or chemicals, trusting the supplier's internal lab report is not enough. Independent inspection by internationally recognized bodies like SGS, Intertek, or Bureau Veritas is a standard requirement for secure trade.

What Do Inspectors Do?

• Quantity Verification: Conducting tank dips, ullage measurements, and flow meter readings to confirm the exact volume loaded onto the vessel or tanker.
• Quality Testing: Drawing composite samples from the tanks and testing them in certified labs against the agreed specifications (e.g., ASTM or ISO standards).
• Sealing: Applying tamper-evident seals to valves, hatches, and manifolds to prevent contamination or theft during transit.
